Technical Specifications:
Implementation of a pedestrian bridge to connect the city center with the public areas of the Pilsner Urquell brewery from the Štruncovy sady area. This is a simply supported beam with a foldable cantilever on the side of the brewery. The main span across the Radbuzu River has a span of 63.0 m. The cantilever has a length of 8.4 m and provides the connection into the brewery area. The cantilever is designed as a lightweight steel truss structure that enables it to be lifted allowing an oversize load to be transported into the brewery on the service road below the bridge. The superstructure of the footbridge in the main span is made of an H-shaped concrete cross-section of variable depth. It is a structure composed of prefabricated segments with cast-in-situ slab post-tensioned by both internal and external pre-stressing cables.
